LEARNING DURING COVID

Covid changed education forever, and many schools were not ready to accept these changes. Yet, the students that were under our care during this time succeeded because we had already taught them academic independence.  Nonetheless, we know that learning from home is not easy. Schools were not prepared to offer the proper assistance, parents became teachers overnight, and children were stripped from their friends and routine, and expected to smoothly transition into online learning.

We know that many children were affected academically by this change, and our plan for this upcoming school year is to help our students get back on track. As we plan, we think only of what will benefit your child. HCA will be open and available for on site learning, but will also provide a limited amount of spaces for virtual learning.

We know that we are living worrisome times, but you can rest assured that at HCA we will take all the necessary precautions to make sure your child is safe. Masks are allowed for students that prefer wearing them during instruction, and teachers will also take the necessary precautions to protect our students.

Lastly, we want to establish a sense of normalcy for our students. Our classrooms will practice caution while simultaneously easing our students into interaction, activities, and events that will help them become an active participant of their surrounding world. We believe that God will pave the way for our school and students, and soon, things will return to normal.
